September 24 to 28 Save the Date! 14th Meaford Scarecrow Invasion & Family Festival Business Competition
Scarecrows are invading Meaford this September and October and you are invited to be part of the invasion. Join the business and community sites decorating competition. As a business or community site within the Municipality of Meaford you are invited to join the fun and decorate your business with a scarecrow theme or incorporate this year’s special theme of the Wizard of Oz. Judges will view displays between September 24 – September 28.

Attend a scarecrow building workshop on August 18th at 7 pm. RSVP needed to Mary Solomon marysolomon@rogers.com 519-538-4968. Bring a shirt, pants and hat to use on your scarecrow.
Be included on the Scarecrow Journey Itinerary indicating which businesses are in the competition and encouraging everyone to visit.
Host a ballot box for naming the Best of the Best Scarecrow
Oh! We have prizes for each of the four categories:
· Business Improvement Association (BIA)
· Greater Business Area - Non agricultural
· Greater Business Area - Agricultural
· Community Services (Schools, Museums, Community Living, Community Halls)
And of course:
· The Best of the Best chosen from the winners of the other categories.
Prizes include the Scarecrow Plaques, Media Package for the businesses and a special prize for Community Services
